I Absolutely Adore Creeks
As far as locations for senior pictures, you just can't beat a good creek. They usually aren't hard to find and usually have a lot to offer.
A Cool Spot on a Hot Day
Most of my High School Senior sessions happen during the hotter months and are always outdoors. One of the ways to keep it cool is heading down to the water. Not just any water though! I find that creeks are almost always a cooler location than say a lake or pond. There's more shade, less open sun and the moving water is almost always cool and refreshing.
Movement
Flowing water can create movement and a sense of peace to your senior pictures. You can almost hear the musical flow of a gentle creek while looking at these images. It's soothing. Peaceful. Cleansing.
The Variety
I especially like the variety of images the creek can offer. Sand, water, trees, logs. This one even has a bridge nearby, which just adds even more bang for your buck! Not bad for one location, eh?
Need More?
Here are just a few more locations, she chose in the Effingham/T-town areas. Her mother had access to a pond with a dock, we used the bridge above the creek, and she even got some images with her pets. She had her bestie along for the day and her mother as well. We had a full day brimming with giggles, belly-laughs and too much fun to handle.
