Dreamy Pet Portraits

Creating gorgeous works of art with your pets in mind. My Black Background Portraits create a lasting memory of your most beloved animal companion. Let your best friend be cherished throughout the generations with lasting canvas works of art or gorgeous Fine Art Prints.

This is my process:

a black and white images of a grulla stallion.

I. Book the date & plan the session.

When you book, we immediately start planning. We go over how to find the best backgrounds and lighting for time of day. Grooming and care for day of and what to expect. I'll help you with outfit choices and tack options. I'll explain black backgrounds vs natural. I guide you every step of the way.

II. Take photos.

During the session, I'm giving you my best tips and tricks for ears up, posing and how to get that emotional connection to appear on camera. I'm cheering you on and encouraging you while also working to make the process as stress-free as I can.

III. Deliver memories.

After your session, I immediately load the images onto external hard drives. I'll then begin culling out any awkward, unflattering or duplicate images. I then begin my editing process. This varies in time and delicacy depending on the type of session. For instance, black background images can sometimes take up to an hour per image. Crazy, right?!

You can usually expect your portraits to be finished within two weeks unless I tell you otherwise.

best friend portraits

The bond between you and your horse is a connection that transcends words. It's a bond nurtured in the quiet moments of brushing their mane or the care in feeding. The exhilaration or a fast ride or the pride in accomplishment. Horse lend us peace and someone to listen without judgement and offer solace without words. A friend to carry us through life's ups and downs. Keepers of our secrets and healers of the heart, a bond of loyalty and love without words.

Honor your bond with portraits to last the generations. Something tangible to show the love you will always carry for your one and only, forever friend.

Beauty in motion

What's more exhilarating than working with your best friend and partner in and out of the arena?

The early mornings, the hot afternoons and the blood, sweat and tears you pour into your passion. Your bond grows with every mile you put under saddle and every brushstroke you gently apply. You grow together as a team after every footstep and obstacle tackled together, bonding in hardships and trials, because everyone knows, winning doesn't come easy.
